Savannah, GA

Hey y'all! Our next stop brought us to Savannah, GA. Since we left home, we had been doing something every day and running a pretty tight schedule so we just wanted to spend a day or two without anything we had to do and no place we needed to be.

We stayed at the Savannah KOA last year on our way back from Florida and thought it was beautiful. There is a 35-acre lake with ducks and swans, plus it's usually warm. Just the ticket we needed to rest up, catch up with school and, of course, do laundry!

We did take one day and drive into downtown Savannah to wander around. We had lunch at Paula Deen's restaurant, Lady and Sons. Click on the menu link and check out the food. It was so good! All  afternoon I walked around saying how full I was. (Ask Kaitlyn, it seemed to really annoy her.)

We walked off our food by walking down River Street and checking out the stores. Here's another picture of the kids with yet another creepy bronze sculpture. I thought we only had these in Nerk but it seems every city has at least one.

Next stop...St. Augustine, Florida!  Bye y'all!
