Columbus, Ohio

(Actual date of visit: April 9, 2011)

While we were home for a few months, we waited for the weather to break so we could figure out when we could get back on the road and finish our trip. We also got the kids working ahead in their school work so we could be done with school early and not have to lug all those books back on the road with us.

Our son and daughter-in-law were visiting from New Mexico so one day we went to the Columbus Zoo to check out the new polar bear exhibit. It was the perfect day to go, not too hot and not too cold. It was overcast and the animals were out and very active.

The polar bears did not disappoint! They were so active and the new exhibit lets you walk under a glass dome so the swim and play right over top of you! So cool.

This is the normal view thru the glass in front of the polar bears.
View from below...cool, huh?
