Valdosta, GA

(Actual date of visit: January 15-17, 2011)

After Nashville, we started to head south again to spend a little more time in Florida before heading home to the cold Ohio winter. In route to the Sunshine state, we stopped in Valdosta, Georgia.

On our way South, we tried to stop in Atlanta, Georgia to go on the Coca Cola tour but they were still recovering from an ice storm. We tried to stay at a campground that was a sheet of ice. Tom did his best to pull/slide into a site without hitting the beautiful luxury RV parked across from it. For the record, he didn't hit the RV but in the process, I about had a heart attack and I think the elderly couple who were inside the RV weren't too happy with his attempts either. (I wish I had a video camera because that would have been a great post!)

We got our money refunded and headed further South to spend a few days in Valdosta with my friend from college, Kim who lives in Georgia. She actually spent a few nights hanging out with us. It was fun to have a house guest for a few days. We did a little fishing, watch some football and Kaitlyn tortured us by making us play restaurant with her. Kim was a good sport though! ;-)

Fishing with Kim. Good times.

Kaitlyn tried to beat Kim in a race.
