Indianapolis, Indiana

Our first stop west is just three or four hours away from home in Indianapolis, Indiana. Originally when we designed our route and put it to a calendar, we had only planned a 1-night stop over in Indy. But then several people said, "You have to go the the Children's Museum when you go to Indianapolis." So we decided to do just that.

I have to say we were not disappointed. The kids loved it and it was a great way to start the trip. Thanks for the tip guys!

Dinosaurs are crashing into the museum.

The Transformers' Bumblebee greets you in the lobby.
Inside the museum, there was something for everyone. They had dinosaurs, a planetarium, special exhibits on Barbie, Egypt, Chihuly glass and a science area where we sat in on a demonstration of mummification. Lots of stuff to see and do.

Andrew playing on the Barbie phone. LOL
Writing a postcard in Arabic to my friend Kim (who is fluent in Arabic).
The Fireworks of Glass tower by Chihuly.
Kait and Andrew learn about mummification.
